Sea Scent Trail

The Oeongchi coastline was closed to the public in 1970 when coastal security fences were installed, but it reopened in April 2018. Following the “Jeongdong-Simgok Sea Fan Road” in Gangneung, this is the second coastal trail built along the East Sea, named the “Sea Scent Trail” because it follows a scenic path along the sea. The “Sokcho Sea Scent Trail” is a premium coastal walkway that stretches along the Oeongchi Coast and Sokcho Beach area, now open for the first time in 65 years. As you walk along this path, you’ll experience what is truly the “most beautiful and emotional trekking route on the East Coast.”
